Hi I'm Gus, a sub-novice boxer, die-hard boxing fan and Ringside Insider's owner, webmaster and author.

I like action fights. My favorite boxing aphorism "styles make fights" is more truism than cliché. Boxer's boxing styles can either make a fight riveting or a chore to watch.

I like aggressive brawling styles. Brawlers, who are single-mindedly aggressive and relentless who use attack as their best defense.

I also like swarmers and in-fighters who keep moving forward, smothering their opponent's punches as they force their way inside making out-fighters who like to keep their distance feel really uncomfortable.

I love punchers who can knock out their opponents in a few punches or a single blow if given the chance to land them flush. I also appreciate old-school slick boxer-punchers too.

If it were up to me back peddlers, dancers and runners who avoid contact and pitty-pat punchers who couldn't knock out a fighter with a glass chin wouldn't be able to get a license to box.
